Not a Monster

coyote

I was up way too late last night putting books together. I heard a fine variety of night time noises including one coyote, a nighthawk (aka “goatsucker”) and another bird I have been hearing all summer and still can’t identify.

Incidentally, the Cornell Ornithology site says the Common Nighthawk looks “like a big bat with headlights”. Cooooool!

This unidentified bird that you’ve been hearing all summer…what’s it been saying to you Voz?

i wish i had time to sit outside on our nice patio and listen to the sounds…. sigh…

i never heard any birds at nigh here! and we like.. have almost a forest across the street. i guess all scary night birds moved closer to the monster neighborhood ;)

yes, i have sorta studio. more like an office slash studio. but it is still in a mess stage. for the past 2 or 3 days i was trying to unpack those countless boxes with useless paper.
i also sorted some paper, found a few old missing things and threw out like half of what i brought here. should have done it before i moved, but it was just too much to ask of me then. i hate sorting papers (hmm… a monster idea :) )

Oh, I’m so sorry that I kept you up late last night! It was nice to talk to you.

  5. Voz says:

Wait…does that mean YOU’RE the bird that’s driving me crazy???

  6. cater says:

Maybe… didn’t you know my nickname is “goatsucker”?

  7. Voz says:

Hmm. Maybe it’s better you don’t start that goat farm then.

  8. Love the coloring on this one. Did you paint it with coffee?
